Say hello to the new and improved, Mr. Ken Harris.

Life-changing! That is all I can say about BCR! When I started Boot Camp Revolution in 2009 I was at my heaviestweight ever. Having been a State Champion Track athlete in high school, I found myself stuck; stuck at my heaviest weight, stuck bouncing between diets, stuck at a dangerous place physically. I knew I had to lose weight and I knew I had to make a lifestyle change. With BCR I changed my mindset. I could no longer workout until I reached my goal. I had to change my eating and my exercise habits so that I could lead a more salubrious, healthy lifestyle. Initially I was a bit resistant, but Lauren and her staff pushed me to my limits and that was when I began to see results. Over the course of about 20 months I went from a size 44″ pants to a size 34″ (a little more than 10 inches from my waist). I can now do up to 90 minutes of cardio without gasping for air, something which used to happen after only a half mile. I eat pretty well Mon-Fri and allow myself to “cheat” some on the weekends. BCR taught me that it’s all about balance and moderation. Total denial or neglect will only give you short-lived results. And although it is more about being healthy and not about actual numbers, I lost nearly 90 pounds (88 to be exact). I went from 271 pounds to 183. With BCR your life (and body) will never be or look the same.

Meet Mrs. Wendi Tarentino, AKA “MRS. T.” She is currently an assistant in the 5:45 AM class:

After having two kids, I found it really easy to justify not working out or eating properly. But that of course, got me nowhere, and I became frustrated with my physical and mental shape. One day a neighbor of mine and I decided to try out the free bootcamp at a local park. We loved it and decided to sign up for the class. I’ve been attending for almost a year now and can’t stop! To date, I’ve lost 20 pounds and several inches, I’m strong and in great physical shape! And with my busy lifestyle as a stay-at-home mom, I’ve finally found a way to take care of myself! As one of the volunteer assistants in the 5:45am class, I get excited when other students start seeing the same results!

Meet Ms. Shana Thomas, she is currently in the 6:30 PM class:

JANUARY 2010

Hi! My name is Shana Thomas and I have been a part of Bootcamp Revolution for almost 5 months. As you can tell from my pictures, I have come a long way since my weight loss journey began in January. In addition to leading a healthier lifestyle and morning cardio workouts, I attend the evening Bootcamp class (mon. – thurs.). As of today I have lost a total of 26 pounds and 14 inches. My plan is to lose a total of 75 pounds by my 1 year anniversary in January 2011.

Meet Ms. Kristin Lundy, she is currently in the 5:45 AM class:

Before joining Boot Camp Revolution for years I struggled to find a workout program I enjoyed and that I could stick with. I found myself gaining weight quickly and became very unhappy with my body. I have been with Boot Camp Revolution for 8 months and it was the best decision I could have made. Not only have I lost 15 pounds, but I have lost inches in my legs, arms, and core along with increasing my stamina and gaining muscle. I have also changed my eating habits due to keeping a daily food log, which is monitored by my trainer Lauren. With daily encouragement from Lauren I am now pushing myself to meet a new goal weight and decrease my body fat. I have more energy than I have ever had before and couldn’t be happier with my experience in boot camp and my new body.

Meet Ms. Bev Talley, she is currently in the 5:45 AM class:

Meet Ms. Regina Grace, she is currently a volunteer assistant in the 6:30 PM class:

I decided in November of 2008 I had to do something to try to get my health in order. In addition to other personal matters going on in my life, the Doctor had given me the worst scare of my life regarding my blood pressure, weight and risk of being borderline diabetic. I refused to give in to taking medications for the rest of my life for things I knew I could control.

I had tried several times losing the weight on my own but I didn’t feel I was progressing as I should. I started simply by trying out bootcamp on the free Saturday sessions to see if I would like it. January of 2009 I decided this was the way for me to get back on track and by September I had lost about 60 pounds! Sounds easy does it? I must say it was a challenge but one that I welcomed because I was on a mission to prove the Doctors wrong and get my life back. Anything worth having comes with hard work! I am in the best shape of my life and I feel absolutely fabulous! Now I am one of Lauren’s assistants and I really enjoy helping others reach their goals of getting fit and healthy! This is what makes it all worthwhile in the end!
